This morning saw the rise of a new moon, in this cycle supposedly a time for ‘collective reset.’ The long weekend felt a little like that – it’s amazing how an extra day’s break can help

restore energy reserves, even though I spent Monday afternoon doing my Kaltura homework. Oddly and I’m glad to say, it felt more like play. Somewhat ‘frustrating’ play at times, but the workshop on Wednesday helped clarify what I was doing wrong. That was a good reminder that sometimes we have to go down the wrong rabbit hole to come out in the place we were hoping to be. I also realized that my comfort level with ‘being uncomfortable’ with technology has exponentially increased.

That helped during the WordPress session on Thursday. In preparation I did more falling into rabbit holes. I’m finding it’s a medium of expression that resonates, and I’m looking forward to diving in more deeply.

The BlueJeans sessions this week somehow had a different energy to them; new faces, new perspectives. I hadn’t realized until the Town Hall meeting that it’s been 10 weeks since the ‘new normal’ began. It’s been a long haul for all, and I share the collective grief for the changes in our college community. I also feel blessed to be part of a team that is providing support in so many different ways; to be and feel useful.

I’m very excited by the plans for ‘Phase 2.’ I appreciate the vision, the clarity and the opportunity; the next chapter of our collective story begins.
